Our practice involves advising on and assisting in the recovery of debts and assets for our major clients, comprising banks, financial institutions, large corporations, major commercial landlords, property developers and management corporations, and acting for and advising liquidators, judicial managers, receivers and managers, creditors’ committees, creditors, companies and shareholders on corporate insolvency and restructuring exercises in Singapore.

A recent case in which we acted for the creditors involved the contentious winding up and judicial management applications and restructuring of Citiraya Industries Ltd, a company listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

We have worked with major accounting firms to undertake and advise on debt restructuring and corporate reorganisation, judicial management and scheme of arrangement cases.

Besides corporate insolvency, we have been engaged in personal insolvency matters and have extensive experience to advise on the diverse legal issues surrounding such matters. Our approach has been and is to offer practical solutions to the problems at hand.

For restitutionary claims and disputes culminating in court or arbitration actions, we work closely with our specialists in the Civil and Commercial Litigation Practice Group, thus able to offer a multi-disciplinary approach to our clients.
